Rebecca Gardner of Houses & Parties favors lush fir garland with a twist—she ties three garlands together for dramatic swoops and layers chartreuse satin ribbons over wired ribbons for voluminous bows. For her southern clients she skips heavy velvets and precious silks that sunlight will destroy.
Kelli Cordes from KC Designs sees oversized bows continuing their reign, while suggesting floral picks as tree toppers. For coastal markets, she recommends weaving blues and greens into holiday palettes to complement year-round interiors, bridging seasonal and permanent design.
Barry Mason of Proper English predicts a beautiful collision of traditional and contemporary elements, featuring deep greens, golds, blues, oversized bows, lush greenery, and tartan plaids alongside classic red accents. Texture adds depth to familiar color stories.
Perhaps most notably, Joshua E. White of Port Town Collective identifies a major shift toward heirloom-inspired decor blending nostalgia with quiet sophistication. Velvet ribbons, mercury glass, layered greenery, and collected ornaments all can tell stories. The palette is softening toward warm whites, aged golds, and candlelight.
