2025 Furniture Trends
Continuing this year’s trends incorporating warmth, curves, flexibility, and layering into our rooms, this article focuses on furniture trends.
The five trends touch on “statement” entry tables, a counterintuitive-sounding “cluttered furniture collections,” biomorphic modernist pieces, hand-painted furniture, and 1960s style.
In addition to these furniture trends, I like what the author has to say about why we focus so much of our attention on “trends”:
… trends encourage innovation and push designers and homeowners to experiment with materials, forms, and functions. The belief that “timeless design” is the answer is problematic … as it “attempts to strip the character from a product to broaden appeal and ensure a long lifespan, which ironically can have just the opposite effect—bland design which excites no one.”
Trend on, C.I.D.!
